Rajasthan / Army van overturned while going to the encounter front in Jammu and Kashmir, two soldiers of Rajasthan martyred in the accident

Two Rajasthan jawans were martyred when an army van crashed in Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian. The van was going to the front of the ongoing encounter in Shopian. Pawan Singh Gurjar of Dausa and Ram Avatar of Alwar were martyred in the accident.

According to media reports, the soldiers of Rashtriya Rifles 44 were going by army vehicle to take the front in the ongoing encounter in Shopian. During this the vehicle became uncontrollable and overturned on the road. After the accident, the injured were immediately admitted to the local district hospital, where doctors declared the three jawans brought dead.

Martyred Jawan Pawan Gurjar

Two of the martyred soldiers were from Rajasthan. Jawan Pawan was a resident of Kanchanpur village of Mahuva subdivision of Dausa. While Jawana Ram Avatar of Alwar was a resident of Kotkasim of Ujauli village. Apart from these, the third jawan is said to be a resident of Haryana.

CM salutes martyrdom

Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot tweeted about the accident in Jammu and Kashmir. CM wrote that in the course of discharge of duty in Shopian, Jammu and Kashmir, the sons of Rajasthan, including Mr. Pawan Singh Gurjar, resident of Dausa and Mr. Ram Avtar, resident of Alwar, salute the martyrdom of three jawans. We are with the families of all the martyrs in this difficult time. Wishing a speedy recovery to the injured jawans.


Sachin Pilot also expressed grief

Congress leader Sachin Pilot has expressed grief over the martyrdom of the jawan by tweeting. He wrote that the news of martyrdom of another jawan including son of Rajasthan in Jammu and Kashmir, Ram Avtar ji of Alwar district and Pawan Singh Gurjar ji of Dausa district during the discharge of duty towards the motherland is extremely sad. I pray to God for peace to the departed souls and speedy recovery of the injured jawans.
