Ranchi: As soon as the special CBI court in Ranchi convicted Lalu Prasad Yadav in the fifth case of fodder scam, thousands of his supporters gathered outside the court in despair. Tears started flowing from Vinod Srivastava, who was the personal secretary of Lalu Prasad Yadav for a long time. Many other supporters started crying.

Supporters worried about Lalu's deteriorating health

Rashtriya Janata Dal's Principal National General Secretary Abdul Bari Siddiqui, who was present outside the court, expressed displeasure and said that Lalu ji continued to fight for the poor and backward throughout his life. Siddiqui said he would not comment on the court's decision, but we are deeply concerned about the deteriorating health of our leader.

Disappointment prevails among Lalu's supporters

Senior party leader and former Bihar minister Shyam Rajak was also standing outside the court. As soon as the news of Lalu Prasad's conviction came out, he quietly sat down in the car without saying anything. Later, he told reporters that the court's decision is respected, but we all know how Lalu Prasad Yadav kept fighting with honesty to get every person his right.

No one shouted

A large number of Lalu Prasad's supporters from different areas of Bihar and Jharkhand had reached Ranchi on Monday itself. The court had fixed the time of 11:30 for the hearing of the case. An hour and a half before this, Lalu's supporters had gathered outside the court premises. Lalu Prasad Yadav and senior RJD leaders had already instructed everyone that no one would raise slogans inside or outside the court premises. Everyone was told that no one would comment on the court's decision. It happened exactly the same. When the verdict came, there was dismay among the supporters, but no one raised any slogans.

Misa Bharti in Ranchi from Monday

Lalu Prasad Yadav's elder daughter Misa Bharti has been in Ranchi since Monday. He is at the State Guest House in Ranchi. He kept his eyes on the TV. She was disheartened to hear the news of her father being sent to judicial custody. After the verdict came, he refused to talk to the journalists. However, on Monday, after reaching Ranchi, he had said that Lalu ji is very ill these days.

The court gave this order on the demand of bail

After the verdict, an application was made to the court on behalf of Lalu Prasad Yadav that in view of his ill health, he should be granted bail or sent to RIMS under the supervision of doctors. Special CBI Judge SK Shashi, while hearing this application at 2 pm, ordered to send him to Birsa Munda Central Jail at Hotwar.

Lalu Yadav will be taken to RIMS

The court also accepted his medical petition. After the completion of the necessary paperwork in the jail, Lalu Yadav will be taken to RIMS. When Lalu Prasad Yadav was taken to Hotwar jail at around 2.30 pm, a convoy of supporters' vehicles followed him. However, about half a kilometer before the jail, all outstation vehicles were stopped. Till the time of writing the news, a large number of people are present on the way from Ranchi's Khelgaon to Hotwar Jail.
