Located on the banks of the famous Dal Lake of Srinagar at the foot of the Jabarwan hills, Tulip Garden is spread over an area of about 30 hectares. It was opened in 2007. Floriculture department official said, this year more than 15 lakh tulip bulbs of 68 varieties have been planted. It is expected that lakhs of tourists will come to see them. The previous records will be broken. This time an open air cafeteria has been set up in the garden.

For the last three years, the tourism industry in Kashmir has suffered a lot due to Kovid. The Tulip Garden was also open for a few days but then it had to be closed. Last year, over 2.25 lakh tourists visited the Tulip Garden despite the Covid restrictions, an official said.

Let us tell you, last year Prime Minister Narendra Modi posted pictures of Tulip Garden on Twitter. After that post, the attraction of people towards this garden has increased further.
