Ayodhya Ram Mandir: VIP Pass IDs of Champat Rai and Two Others Deactivated

The official IDs of three major trustees, including Champat Rai, for issuing VIP and Sugam Darshan passes have been deactivated following allegations of misuse and financial irregularities involving associates and an individual named Tinnu Yadav.

A significant development has emerged from Ayodhya regarding the management of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust. The official IDs of three prominent trustees, including Champat Rai, Gopal Rao, and Anil Mishra, which were used to generate VIP darshan passes, have been deactivated. This move ensures that no further passes can be issued through their respective accounts, marking a major shift in the administrative protocols of the temple's darshan system.

System of Darshan Passes

The temple administration currently operates a system where two primary types of passes are issued to devotees: the Sugam Darshan pass and the Vishisht Darshan pass. To facilitate this, the system had generated specific IDs in the names of all trustees. These IDs allowed the trustees to recommend and issue passes for devotees coming through their references, ensuring a streamlined process for special guests and dignitaries.

Allegations of Misuse and Financial Irregularities

The decision to deactivate these IDs follows reports of widespread misuse of the recommendation system. It has been revealed that an individual named Tinnu Yadav took advantage of this system to get hundreds of passes issued. Plus, associates close to Champat Rai and Anil Mishra were allegedly involved in a racket concerning the issuance of these passes. This illicit operation reportedly resulted in earnings amounting to lakhs of rupees. Consequently, the 3 IDs through which the highest number of passes were issued have been suspended to prevent further exploitation.

Impact on VIP Recommendations

With these IDs now inactive, any recommendations made by these individuals for Sugam or VIP darshan passes will no longer be processed. This effectively removes their direct influence over the special darshan arrangements. While the trust's written statement confirms the removal of Gopal Rao from the list of special invitees, Rao himself has expressed a different stance. Despite the official documentation, Gopal Rao stated that he would continue to visit the temple and cooperate with the arrangements, refusing to fully accept the implications of the trust's decision.

Leadership Changes in the Trust

Champat Rai, who had been associated with the Ram Mandir Trust for a long duration, recently tendered his resignation from his post. This resignation was formally accepted during a trust meeting held on Monday. Following his departure, the responsibilities previously handled by Champat Rai have been officially handed over to Krishna Mohan, who will now oversee these administrative duties.

Champat Rai Hints at Future Disclosures

In a recent social media post on Tuesday, Champat Rai shared a letter addressing the ongoing situation. In his communication, he expressed surprise over the public release of the initial SIT investigation report. While he mentioned that he would remain silent for the time being, he explicitly stated that he wouldn't stay quiet in the future. This has sparked speculation that he may reveal significant details regarding the alleged thefts and irregularities associated with the trust's operations in the coming days.
