Ram Mandir Trust Appoints 3 New Trustees, CEO Selection Process Reaches Final Stage

The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has appointed three new trustees: Mahesh Bhagchandka, Madan Mohan Pandey, and Nirmala Yadav. The trust is also set to announce its first CEO following a rigorous selection process involving over 5500 applicants and a multi-stage evaluation in Ayodhya.

The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has officially expanded its administrative body by appointing three new trustees. This significant decision was finalized during a high-level meeting held at Mani Ram Das Chawni, the official residence of the trust's president, Mahant Nritya Gopal Das. The newly appointed trustees include Mahesh Bhagchandka from Delhi, Madan Mohan Pandey from Ayodhya, and Nirmala Yadav from Shikohabad. These appointments are seen as a strategic move to strengthen the trust's governance as the temple operations continue to grow.

Profiles of the New Trustees

Among the new appointees, Mahesh Bhagchandka from Delhi holds a notable connection as a relative of the late Ashok Singhal, a prominent figure in the temple movement. Madan Mohan Pandey brings local representation from Ayodhya, ensuring that the interests and perspectives of the holy city are well-represented within the trust. Nirmala Yadav, hailing from Shikohabad, joins as a new trustee, adding to the diverse geographical representation of the board, while the inclusion of these three individuals is expected to bring fresh perspectives to the management of the Ram Mandir.

Search for the First CEO

In addition to the appointment of new trustees, the Ram Mandir Trust is on the verge of appointing its first Chief Executive Officer (CEO). A formal announcement regarding this appointment is expected shortly. The selection committee, specifically formed for this purpose, has already submitted its comprehensive report to the trust, while this report includes a final shortlist of three names from which the trust will make its final selection. The meeting at Mahant Nritya Gopal Das's residence is currently deliberating on these final candidates to ensure the most capable individual is chosen for this critical administrative role.

Candidates in the Final Race

The race for the prestigious CEO position has narrowed down to four prominent names. Former IPS officer Rajesh Pandey is currently considered the frontrunner for the post. Another former IPS officer, Paresh Saxena, is also a strong contender in the final list. From the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) cadre, the names of Yogeshwar Ram Mishra and Dinesh Chandra Singh are being actively discussed. Each of these candidates brings a wealth of administrative experience, which is essential for managing the complex operations of the Ram Mandir complex.

A Rigorous Selection Process

The selection of the CEO followed an exceptionally detailed and transparent process. A three-member committee was constituted to oversee the recruitment, consisting of retired Justice Pramod Kohli, Suresh Haware, and Vishnukant Chaturvedi. The committee faced a massive task as they received more than 5500 applications for the CEO position. To filter these applications, a Google Form was sent to the candidates containing a series of questions worth a total of 600 marks. More than 3500 applicants completed and submitted this form, which served as the primary basis for initial marking and evaluation.

Final Evaluation in Ayodhya

From the pool of 3500 applicants, only 108 individuals managed to score more than 470 marks out of the total 600. These high-scoring candidates then underwent a virtual interview process. Following the virtual rounds, 17 candidates were shortlisted for the final stage of the selection process. These 17 individuals were invited to Ayodhya for a comprehensive face-to-face interview. During this final stage, they were rigorously tested on various parameters, including leadership capability, faith, their ability to understand and tackle challenges, and their knowledge of temple management systems. After these intensive evaluations, the committee narrowed the list down to the final 3 names currently under consideration by the trust.
