Telangana / Balcony collapsed, four people standing on the road died, shopkeepers and landlords were also among the dead

A major accident took place in Sriram Nagar of Yadadri district of Telangana on Friday. The balcony of the first floor of a building suddenly collapsed. Four people standing below died due to his grip. The landlord is also among the dead.


Yadadri Assistant Commissioner of Police K. According to Narasimha Reddy, the incident happened at 7 pm on Friday. The balcony of the first floor of a house in Shriram Nagar suddenly collapsed and fell on the people standing outside the shops located on the ground floor. Five people got hit by it.


The deceased have been identified as Sunchu Srinivas (40), the owner of the clothing store, jeweler T. Srinath (45), salaried S. Upender and the owner of the building G. Dasharatha Gaud (75). At the same time, mechanic G. Giri is injured. All these people were standing on the road outside the shops built under the building.


As soon as the information was received, the police and rescue teams reached the spot, pulled out four bodies buried under the rubble and sent the injured to the hospital. Police said that there are two shops under the house.


In connection with the incident, the police have started investigation by registering a case under section 304A (death by negligence) of Bhandavi. Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan expressed grief over the accident and offered condolences to the families of the deceased.
