Plus, about 65 percent of users admitted to feeling emotional discomfort when their phone battery dies completely. This high level of concern is reflected in purchasing behavior, as nearly 65 percent of people consider battery performance the most critical factor when buying a new phone. Usage Habits and Charging Frequency in India

On average, an Indian user spends about 6 hours a day on their phone, which is among the highest usage rates globally. The report also reveals that consumers are no longer looking solely at price or storage when purchasing a smartphone; AI features are now playing a major role. Approximately 89 percent of users stated that AI features influence their buying decisions. About 58 percent of people use AI features daily, with voice assistants being the most frequently used tool. Different age groups take advantage of AI in various ways, with younger users focusing on content creation and editing, while others use it for daily planning and advice. Also, EMI has emerged as a major facilitator amidst rising smartphone prices. About 43 percent of users opt for EMI when purchasing a phone, and 79 percent believe that EMI makes expensive phones more accessible.
