What is its specialty?

The government has given approval to install solar panels on the roof of the house. It has been said in the order that under this scheme, the government will provide 60% CFA of the total cost for 2 kW solar panel and 40% subsidy for 2 to 3 kW capacity. CFA will be limited to 3 kW. That means subsidy will not be available on more than 3 kilowatts. Based on current benchmark prices, this means the subsidy will be Rs 30,000 for 1 kW system, Rs 60,000 for 2 kW system and Rs 78,000 for 3 kW system or above.

How can I apply?

First of all register in the portal. After that select your state. Select the electricity distribution company. After that enter the electricity consumer number. Enter your mobile number and email. Login with consumer number and mobile number. Apply for rooftop solar as per the form.

Wait for feasibility approval from Discom. Once you get the feasibility approval, get the plant installed from any registered vendor with your Discom. Once the installation is complete, deposit the plant details and apply for the net meter. After the installation of the net meter and inspection by the Discom. After, they will generate the commissioning certificate from the portal.

Once you get the commissioning report. Provide bank account details and deposit a canceled check through the portal. You will receive your subsidy in your bank account within 30 days.
