Uttarakhand | There is going to be a big upheaval in the Uttarakhand government. Tirath Singh Rawat, who was sworn in as Chief Minister on March 10 this year, has offered to resign. He was made CM in place of Trivendra Singh Rawat. If his resignation is accepted, Uttarakhand will again get a new CM.

Let us tell you that Uttarakhand Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat, who has camped in Delhi for three days, on Friday, met Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President JP Nadda for the second time within the last 24 hours. This round of meetings started speculations of another change of leadership in the state. The nearly half-an-hour meeting of the Chief Minister at Nadda's Delhi residence comes at a time when there is a lot of speculation about Rawat's future.

The news is coming that Tirath Singh Rawat has offered to resign from the post of Chief Minister in view of the latest political situation. However, it could not be confirmed whether his resignation has been accepted or not.

Let us tell you that less than a year is left for the Uttarakhand assembly elections and it is a constitutional obligation for Rawat to be elected as a member of the assembly by September 10 to continue in his post. Rawat, the Lok Sabha MP from Pauri, took over as the chief minister on March 10 this year.

After meeting Nadda, Rawat told reporters that he discussed with the BJP President about the preparations for the upcoming assembly elections. When he was asked a question regarding the by-election, he said that this matter is of the Election Commission and any decision regarding this has to be taken by him. He said that whatever strategy the central leadership of the party decides in this regard, it will be put forward on the ground.
