UP Budget Session: The budget session of the Uttar Pradesh Legislature starting on Monday i.e. today is expected to be stormy. On the first day of the Budget Session, Governor Anandiben Patel will address the joint session of both the Houses of the Legislature, while the budget for 2023-24 will be tabled on February 22. At the same time, during the budget session, the opposition is also preparing to surround the government on various issues. In this context, there is a possibility of uproar during the session.

According to the information, SP, BSP and Congress have a strategy to surround the government on these 5 big issues. Issues related to Ramcharit Manas Chaupai dispute, OBC reservation in civic elections, employment and education, death of mother-daughter during removal of encroachment in Kanpur Dehat, victory in Mainpuri and Khatauli by-elections will be raised. It may be noted that the Samajwadi Party (SP) had said on February 15 that it would raise the issue of the death of a woman and her daughter allegedly due to self-immolation during an anti-encroachment drive in Kanpur Dehat district in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly. SP leaders said that in the budget session of the assembly starting from Monday, there will be a demand for discussion on this matter prominently to get justice to the victims.

Let us tell you that many leaders of the opposition, including Ashutosh Sinha, a member of the SP in the UP Legislative Council, Virendra Chaudhary, the Congress MLA from Farenda assembly constituency of Maharajganj district, told a news agency in separate conversations that the matter of Kanpur Dehat will figure prominently in the House. Will be raised and there will be a demand for discussion on the issue of inflation, unemployment and law and order. Leaders of opposition parties also said that the state government, which recently hosted the 'Global Investors Summit-2023' in Lucknow, would also be asked as to what percentage of the investment promises made in the previous meetings have been implemented on the ground. Uma Shankar Singh, the lone member of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) in the Vidhan Sabha, said that the issue of loss of life of mother-daughter in Kanpur Dehat and the state government not increasing the price of sugarcane will be raised in the Vidhan Sabha.
