MP Elections: Election Commission has taken strict action on the viral video of opening of postal ballot in Madhya Pradesh. Taking action in this matter, the Commission has suspended Lalbarra Tehsildar Himmat Singh Bhaveri. In Balaghat, some people were seen taking out postal votes from the strong room and counting them. There was a stir after the video of the incident surfaced.

Congress had expressed strong objection to the issue of opening of postal ballot and complained about it to the Election Commission. After which the Election Commission investigated this matter and in the investigation, the mistake of Lalbarra Tehsildar Himmat Singh Bhaveri came to light and he was suspended. Actually, Lalbarra Tehsildar Himmat Singh Bhaveri was made the nodal officer.

It is noteworthy that votes will be counted in the state on December 3. In such a situation, the ballot paper was to be sorted on 2nd December. But in Balaghat, sorting of ballot papers started even before this on 27th December. Congress created a ruckus regarding this and expressed strong objection. Congress has also alleged tampering in the postal ballot.

Congress leader Kamal Nath had shared the video

This video was also shared by Congress leader and former Chief Minister Kamal Nath on his X (earlier Twitter) handle. In which he had written that in Balaghat district of the state, a video has surfaced of postal ballots being opened before counting and the possibility of tampering. The Congress party has complained about this to the Election Commission. This is a very serious matter. Immediate action should be taken against the culprits. I appeal to the Congress workers to remain alert and not allow any disturbance to happen.

Election results will come on December 3

Let us tell you that there is a tough contest between Congress and BJP in the state. Both the parties are staking claim to form their respective governments. During the election campaign, from PM Modi to the Chief Ministers and Union Ministers of all the BJP ruled states, they gave their full strength. Whereas Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi took the lead from Congress side. In such a situation, now it has to be seen who gets the public mandate.
