Both of them live in a rented house in Naya Tola locality of the city. The husband is a sweet maker and he goes out and makes sweets on special occasions. Meanwhile, wife Roopa got a chance to work in a networking company.

While working, the wife fell in love with a young man named Ranjit Kumar of Vikram, Patna six months ago. She used to secretly meet her husband in his absence. Whenever the husband was out, the woman used to invite her lover to the house. On Sunday, the husband had gone out somewhere and he was planning to stay out for a few more days, but when he suddenly returned home on Sunday, he was surprised to see his wife with her lover. After which the husband locked the room from outside and called the police and handed him over to the police. In this whole episode, the step of the woman's husband was quite shocking.

Here the wife has also accepted before the police that she is in love with Ranjit for the last six months and she is also in a relationship with him. She wants to marry with him. Although, the husband was finding it difficult due to this act of his wife, but now when the water started rising above the head, the husband felt that there is only benefit in getting rid of the body from the wife. After all, he happily proposed marriage to his lover and also announced his support in writing on his behalf.
