After releasing 12 lakh cusecs of water from Kota barrage, the water level of the river crossed 134 meters at around 10 pm on Wednesday. While the danger mark is at 130 meters. DM Prabhu N Singh said that people are being evacuated from flood-affected villages to safer and higher places. Schools in flood-affected villages have been closed. Administration teams are camping in the area. The control room has been opened in the outside.

Rapid migration from villages

Villagers of 38 flood-affected villages are getting displaced on high dunes by migrating daily useful items including food grains, flour. Children, women and men are busy carrying goods on tractor-trolleys and ends. At the same time, the administration teams were busy in evacuating the villagers out of the village. Police including Tehsildar, Naib Tehsildar have been deployed at eight flood posts. In case of emergency, the operation of motor boat has been started.

Power cut in flood affected villages

SDO Jaitpur Manmohan Sharma said that in view of the floods, as a precautionary measure, power has been cut off in Gohra, Ranipura, Bhatpura and Gudha villages of Abhaypura feeder. The people of these villages, which are submerged in darkness, are now afraid of the attack of wildlife. Villagers told that alligators, crocodiles, snakes etc. come to the streets and houses along with the flood water.
