Tonk: A tragic incident has cast a pall of gloom over Gopipura village in Tonk, as a 5-year-old boy, Himanshu Dhakad, who was injured when an escort vehicle of Energy Minister Hiralal Nagar's convoy overturned, passed away during treatment at the Sawai Man Singh Hospital in Jaipur. The news of the child's demise has left his family and the entire village in profound grief.
The Tragic Accident
The unfortunate accident took place on October 12 on the Jaipur Highway near Gopipura. A police car, which was part of the escort for Energy Minister Hiralal Nagar, overturned while attempting to avoid hitting the child. The collision resulted in injuries to the young boy, Himanshu, along with three policemen and the driver of the escort vehicle. All the injured were immediately rushed to the hospital.
Treatment and Untimely Demise
Following the accident, with the help of locals and the police, the injured were transported to the Deoli Sub-District Hospital. Due to the severity of his injuries, Himanshu was referred to Kota after receiving initial treatment. On October 13, as his condition deteriorated, he was further referred to. Sawai Man Singh Hospital in Jaipur, where he was receiving continuous medical care. However, on Monday night, the child tragically succumbed to his injuries.
Village Mourns Loss
Upon receiving the news of the child's death, Deoli police reached Jaipur. After the post-mortem on Tuesday morning, the body was handed over to the family. The family, accompanied by the police, has departed for Deoli with the body, while the untimely death of the child has plunged Gopipura village into deep mourning, with family members inconsolable over their profound loss.
