The long-standing problems and pending crop insurance claims of farmers in Churu district have led to an intensified agitation. As part of this movement, a massive 'Kisan Ekta Tractor. March' will be organized from Churu to Jaipur on November 17. This significant protest was announced by Member of Parliament Rahul Kaswan during a press conference at the Circuit House, where he highlighted the plight of the farmers and their demands.

Background of the Agitation and Farmers' Distress

MP Kaswan stated that farmers in Churu district are facing severe distress due to the cancellation of approximately 500 crore rupees in crop insurance claims for the year 2021. This cancellation has dealt a significant blow to the farmers, further exacerbating their financial woes. Thousands of farmers have been deprived of their rightful benefits due to serious flaws such as irregularities in data entry on the insurance portal, exclusion of farmers during surveys, and prolonged delays in settling outstanding claims from various seasons. This major agitation is being launched to amplify the voices of farmers against these administrative oversights and injustices and to secure justice for them. Farmers assert that they must now engage in a decisive struggle for their rights.
