Immediately after assuming the office of Chief Minister, Samrat Choudhary shifted into action mode, issuing stern directives to state officials. During his first meeting at the Main Secretariat, the CM emphasized the need for working at "double speed" to resolve public grievances and accelerate the state's development. He stated that to make Bihar a developed and prosperous province, officials must work with unity, discipline, and sensitivity.
Strict Stance on Corruption and Work Culture
Addressing senior officials in the Main Secretariat auditorium, CM Samrat Choudhary declared a policy of 'Zero Tolerance' towards corruption. He asserted that corruption wouldn't be tolerated at any level, from the top brass to the grassroots. The Chief Minister criticized the tendency of delaying tasks and merely moving files or writing letters. He directed that all government schemes and official works must be executed within stipulated timelines, ensuring that the habit of stalling files is eliminated across all levels of administration.
Focus on Public Grievances and Land Disputes
The Chief Minister highlighted that the primary goal of the government is to ensure the happiness and convenience of the common man. He noted that 60 to 70 percent of mutual disputes in the state arise from land-related issues. He instructed officials to simplify the complexities surrounding land matters and ensure swift disposal of cases. On top of that, he directed that facilities at the Block, Circle, and Police Station levels must be improved so that citizens' problems are addressed locally and promptly without causing them undue distress.
Implementation of Development Schemes and 'Saat Nishchay'
Acknowledging the work done under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi and Nitish Kumar, the CM mentioned that the 'Saat Nishchay-1' and 'Saat Nishchay-2' schemes have Notably boosted Bihar's progress. He stressed the rapid implementation of 'Saat Nishchay-3', which was introduced in 2025. The CM also called for a review of the 430 schemes announced during the 'Pragati Yatra'. He asked all departments to prepare a detailed roadmap and progress report of their respective projects for an upcoming comprehensive review, aiming to realize the vision of 'Viksit Bharat'.
