Lok Sabha Election / Congress Central Election Committee meeting will be held in Delhi today, decision on the second list will be taken

Lok Sabha Election: The second meeting of the Central Election Committee (CEC) of the Congress Party will be held today at the Delhi office of the Congress. According to party sources, the second meeting of the CEC will begin at 6 pm on Monday, which will be presided over by party chief Mallikarjun Kharge. There is a possibility that both Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi can participate in this meeting. Party sources said the Lok Sabha seats of Karnataka, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Tamil Nadu, Delhi and Madhya Pradesh are yet to be discussed. The Lok Sabha seats of these states will be discussed in the CEC meeting.

Candidates from these states in the first list

Let us tell you that before this, Congress had released the first list of its candidates on March 8. In this list, names of candidates for 39 Lok Sabha seats were declared. These 39 names have been announced for the states of Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Kerala, Lakshadweep, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Sikkim, Telangana and Tripura. Out of total 39 candidates, 16 candidates have been declared from Kerala, 7 from Karnataka, 6 from Chhattisgarh, and 4 from Telangana. There are 2 candidates from Meghalaya, and one candidate each from Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim and Lakshadweep.

Let us tell you that a meeting of the Central Election Committee of Congress was organized on March 7. It was only after this meeting that the first list of names of 39 candidates was released. While addressing the press conference, Congress Party leader KC Venugopal said that out of 39 seats, general category candidates have been fielded on 15 seats. Whereas SC, ST, OBC and minority class people have been fielded on 24 seats. Let us tell you that before this, BJP had recently released its first list of 195 candidates. However, now there is a possibility that BJP may release the second list soon. Let us tell you that there is a possibility of Lok Sabha elections being held in the month of April or May this year.
