Lok Sabha Elections: After accepting the resignation from the post of Delhi Congress President, former President Arvinder Singh Lovely held a press conference. He said that I had sent the pain of my heart and the pain of all the Congress workers of Delhi to my president. My pain is about principles. I have not resigned for myself, I have resigned for the Congress workers. During the PC, an emotional Lovely thanked Delhi Pradesh Congress in-charge Deepak Bawaria. He also said that he is not going to join any party. ,

Brushing aside the rumours, he clarified that ticket distribution was not the reason behind his resignation and it was “due to principles”. Lovely claimed that around 30 former MLAs have met him and extended their support. Congress workers never said that we have given a clean chit to the present Kejriwal government. Our stance was always to fight with the alliance.

He said, “This is not the sentiment of Arvinder Singh Lovely, but this is the sentiment of Congress workers. I want to thank the high command that they accepted my resignation. I want to thank Saurabh Bhardwaj for his words.”

He clearly said that he is not going to join any party. Lovely said that his stance was always to fight with the alliance, but we never gave him the credit for building the hospital… He said, “I at least thank the Congress workers. 30-35 people have come to meet me, even former MLAs. This is the feeling of Congress workers.” He said, “I am not going anywhere, not attending any party.”

Let us tell you that this is the second time that Lovely has resigned from the post of Delhi Congress chief. He also resigned in 2015. When AAP won the Delhi Assembly elections by winning 67 out of 70 seats.
