Lok Sabha Election: BJP leader Poonam Mahajan's ticket has been canceled from North Central of Maharashtra. BJP has now given ticket to Ujjav Nikam from here. Poonam Mahajan has been MP from this seat twice. At present also he is MP from this seat. However, now the party has given ticket to the country's famous lawyer Ujjwal Nikam in his place. Ujjwal Nikam has been a lawyer in many famous cases of the country and played an important role in getting Ajmal Kasab, who was caught in the Mumbai attack, hanged.It is said about Ujjwal Nikam that whatever case he takes up, he brings it to conclusion and the punishment for the accused is considered certain. Apart from the Mumbai terror attacks, he had helped in the prosecution of the suspects in the 1993 Bombay blasts, Gulshan Kumar murder case and Pramod Mahajan murder case.In a press release issued by BJP's National General Secretary Arun Singh, it has been said that the Central Election Committee of the party has given its approval to the name of Ujjwal Nikam from Mumbai North Central seat for the Lok Sabha elections.
