Delhi Liquor Scam: The Supreme Court can give its verdict on Friday on the bail plea of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who is lodged in Tihar Jail in the Delhi Liquor Scam case. There was a vigorous debate in the Supreme Court on Tuesday in which the court asked many questions to the ED and after the hearing reserved the decision. While leaving the bench after today's hearing in Arvind Kejriwal's interim bail case, Justice Sanjiv Khanna told the ED lawyer that he can pass orders on the case on Friday.

Abhishek Manu Singhvi had said this yesterday

During the hearing on Tuesday, the Supreme Court had told Kejriwal's lawyer Abhishek Manu Singhvi that Kejriwal would not sign any file during this period. Putting a condition for this, Singhvi said that during this period, the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi should not send the files back if the signature of the CM is not there. The Supreme Court had said that if he discharges his official duties while on bail, it could have wide-ranging implications and create a situation of conflict of interest.

ED lawyer opposed bail

Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, appearing for the ED in the Supreme Court on Tuesday, opposed any leniency on Arvind Kejriwal for campaigning in the Lok Sabha elections and said that if this happens, then it will be a separate law for politicians. It will be like being followed. Giving the example of a farmer and a shop owner, Tushar Mehta said that if a farmer asks for bail at the time of harvest, will he also be given bail?
