The meeting of DDMA will be under the chairmanship of Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal. In this, many ministers including CM Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, Satyendra Jain will be present. In the meeting, a strategy will be prepared for the coming days regarding Corona.

Making face masks mandatory for school children can be discussed in the meeting. In Delhi, ever since the fine of Rs 500 on face masks has been removed, very few people are wearing masks. Cases increase continuously in Delhi

After a steady decrease in corona cases in the capital, once again there is a spurt in new infections. Between April 11-18, the infection rate in Delhi has increased almost three times. According to the data, the infection rate in Delhi was 2.70 percent on April 11, which increased to 3.95 percent on April 15. The very next day, on 16 April, the infection rate increased to 5.33 percent and on 18 April it increased to 7.72 percent.

According to this, 67,360 samples were tested in Delhi last week, out of which 2,606 confirmed the infection. The average infection rate during this period was 4.79 percent.

According to Delhi government data, 5,079 samples were tested in the city on April 11, out of which 137 were found infected. Here on April 18, 6,492 samples were tested, in which more than 501 confirmed infections. During this period, two patients died of corona in the capital. According to the report that came out on Tuesday, 632 new patients have been found in Delhi in a single day, with which the number of active corona patients has exceeded 1900.

Doctors say that the cases of infection may increase further in the coming days. However, he says that the current situation is not too worrisome as most of the cases are of mild infection and these are due to Omicron XE variant of the virus.
