Mumbai: Increased infection of Coronavirus has also hit trains operations and Indian Railways has stopped the operation of Tejas Express between Mumbai Central to Ahmedabad for 1 month. A Western Railway spokesperson said that the Tejas train (82902/82901) plying between Mumbai-Amhadabad has been suspended from April 2 to the next one month in view of increasing cases of Covid-19.

Railway spokesperson said that those who have booked tickets for Tejas Express have been canceled. Information has been given to the passengers and their money will be refunded. Explain that after the lockdown in March last year, the Indian Railways canceled all trains and the Tejas train remained closed till October. The Mumbai-Ahmedabad Tejas train was resumed in October, but was discontinued in November due to low passenger and then it was started on 14 February this year.

Maharashtra is witnessing the maximum havoc of the corona virus. According to the data released by the Health Department, 43183 new cases were reported in the state in the last 24 hours on Thursday, while 249 people died. After this, the total number of corona cases has gone up to 28,56,163 and 54898 people have died. So far, 24,33,368 people have been cured from Kovid-19 in the state and 3,66,533 active cases are present.
