A young man making roti at a wedding ceremony in Kalyanpuri area of ​​East Delhi was electrocuted by a tent pole. The youth got badly burnt in the accident. The youth was taken to LBS Hospital in critical condition, where he was declared brought dead. The deceased has been identified as Asif (21), a resident of Khekra, Baghpat, UP.

At present, the police have started investigation by registering a case of death due to negligence. An investigation is underway to ascertain whose negligence led to Asif's death. The Kalyanpuri police station has handed over the body to the family after the post-mortem.

According to the police, Asif lived with his family in Khekra, Baghpat. He is survived by his father Shamshad Ali, mother and four sisters. Asif used to work as a roti maker on the tandoor. In Kalyanpuri 12 block, the procession of the son of a person named Bala was to be known on Sunday. On Saturday night, the work of preparing food for the guests was to be done. Asif along with his partner Furkan was making roti in a tent in Jalebi Chowk, Kalyanpuri. A person named Nanaram had set up his tent at the wedding. An iron pole of the tent house was installed near the tandoor. Asif touched it while making roti.

He got a strong current. He clings to the pillar. When Furqan saw him, he somehow rescued him from the pillar. Later, with the help of others, Asif was taken to the hospital, where he was declared brought dead. During the investigation, the police came to know that he had come to make roti at the behest of a confectioner named Harish Chandra. Police are trying to identify the accused responsible for the accident.
