What is the whole controversy?

The court had reserved the verdict till September 12 in the Gyanvapi-Shringar Gauri dispute case. The hearing of both the parties has been completed. More than half a dozen cases are pending in different courts regarding Kashi Vishwanath Temple and Gyanvapi Masjid.

In this case, the then Civil Judge Ravi Kumar Diwakar had issued the order of the survey. After this a survey of the premises of Gyanvapi Masjid was done. After this survey, the Shivling was claimed to be in the mosque's vazukhana. On the other hand, the Muslim side called it a fountain. The controversy in this case increased so much that the Anjuman Intejamia Committee went to the Supreme Court against the survey.
