New Year 2023 / Delhi Traffic Police releases traffic advisory for New year eve celebrations

New Year 2023: Few days are left for the new year to come. People are making plans to welcome the new year. The owners of malls, bars and pubs have also geared up to double the celebration. Since this time December 31 is on a Saturday, there is sure to be a huge crowd on the roads. In view of this, the Delhi Traffic Police has issued an advisory regarding New Year's Eve.

Delhi Traffic Police has given information about those places where a large number of people will gather to celebrate. These places are- Surya Hotel New Friends Colony, Lajpat Nagar, Central Market, M&N Block Market Greater Kailash, Eros Hotel, Crowne Plaza Hotel Nehru Place, Lodhi Institutional Area, Hauz Khas Village, Janakpuri District Centre, Karol Bagh, EDM Mall, Connaught Place, Vikas Marg, Kamla Nagar, Pitampura, Kamla Nagar, Model Town, Netaji Subhash Place, City Center Mall Rohini, Ashok Vihar, Karol Bagh, Club Road Punjabi Bagh, Chhatarpur, Aerocity, DLF Emporia Mall, Ambience Mall, Vegas Mall Dwarka , Rajouri Garden, PVR Narayana, Netaji Subhash Palace, Mukherjee Nagar.

Traffic movement will be like this in Connaught Place

Some restrictions will be imposed in Connaught Place from 8 pm on the eve of New Year i.e. 31st December. No vehicle will be allowed in the inner, middle and outer circle of Connaught Place unless it has a valid pass. Apart from this, the movement of vehicles will also be closed at India Gate.

No vehicles will be able to go beyond these places towards Connaught Place. These are Mandi House, Bengali Market, northern part of Ranjit Singh Flyover, Minto Road-Deen Dayal Upadhyay Marg crossing, Chelmsford Road, RK Ashram Marg-Chitragupt Marg crossing, Gol Market, Patel Chowk, GPO New Delhi, Kasturba Gandhi Marg, Ferozeshah Road Crossing, Jai Singh Road-Bangla Sahib Lane, Windsor Place.

Connaught Place to know where you can park your vehicle

Near Gol Post Office-Kalibari Marg, Pant Marg, Bhai Vir Singh Marg, Near Patel Chowk on Rakab Ganj Road, Behind AIR, Near Mandi House on Baroda House to Copernicus Marg. Press Road Area & Deen Dayal Upadhyay Marg Near Minto Road, Near Windsor Place, Raisina Road, Rajender Prasad Road.
