Mumbai: For every Indian actor, the biggest honour is to receive a National Award in the field of acting. Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has been blessed to be awarded three National Awards. She received  National Film Awards: Best Supporting Actress for Fashion. The film was helmed by Madhur Bhandarkar, Kangana played the role of a supermodel in the film.

It was one of the most loved performances of the actress. Earlier today, she shared a picture of the time when she was awarded the honour. Kangana retweeted the picture from a fan account.

The original tweet reads, "On this day 11 years ago, Kangana Ranaut won the award for Best Supporting Actress at the 56th National Film Awards for her incredible performance as Shonali Gujral in Madhur Bhandarkar’s #Fashion."

She responded to the tweet and wrote, "First National award, Many special memories attached to this, I was one of the youngest actresses to receive the honour, also for a woman centric film from a woman President. I designed my own suit didn’t have enough money to buy something special, the suit wasn’t bad...nahin ?"

Many people commented on the post and congratulated her for the performance. One user wrote, "Simplicity at it's best. I still remember your interview with@ShekharGupta where you talked about how your parents were proud to see you alongside with then President receiving award. It was a Landmark to your Journey"
