The Defense Acquisition Council, which comes under the Defense Ministry, has approved about 9 proposals worth Rs 45,000 crore. According to the press release issued by the Defense Ministry, this step will strengthen India's defense sector. According to the information given by the Defense Ministry, they will be purchased from Indian vendors only. Whose design and manufacturing would also have been done in India. In fact, India is emphasizing on indigenous goods to strengthen the defense sector. So that in the coming days, the country can become self-reliant in this sector and the import of defense related goods can be minimized.

Air Force will be stronger

the Defense Ministry has approved the purchase of integrated surveillance and next generation survey ships, apart from light armored multi-purpose vehicles. DAC has approved the purchase of many items to strengthen the Indian Air Force. Avionics upgradation of Dornier aircraft is included. Besides, approval has also been given to purchase short range air-to-surface missile Dhruvastra for ALH Mk-IV helicopters manufactured in the country.

12 Sukhoi aircraft will be purchased

The Defense Ministry has approved the purchase of 12 Sukhoi 30MKI fighter aircraft to increase the strength of the Air Force. After this the strength of IAF will increase further. In the construction of this aircraft, 60 percent material will be indigenous. These planes will be manufactured by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited. More than 69 percent of the material in the manufacturing of the aircraft will be indigenous. All 12 Sukhoi aircraft will be equipped with weapons and sensors. The 12 Sukhoi fighter aircraft approved by the Defense Ministry will replace the previous 12 Sukhoi aircraft which have been destroyed due to accidents in the past years. Talking about its specialty, it can fight air-to-ground and air-to-air wars simultaneously.

It is a multirole combat aircraft. Which can fight air-to-ground and air-to-air war simultaneously. It can perform acrobatics in the air at fast and slow speeds, deceiving the enemy and attacking them. Sukhoi Su-30MKI is an advanced version of Russia's Su-27. The Indian Air Force has 272 Su-30MKI. This is the only fighter jet which different countries adapt to their needs. Or get changes made. So that we can deploy it according to the geographical location of our country.

60 These 65 percent indigenous goods should be purchased

On this occasion, Rajnath Singh said that now the time has come to move further in the direction of indigenization. He said that it has become necessary to increase the limit of 50 percent home-made goods under IDDM projects and the time has come to increase it from 60 to 65 percent. He has directed the Chief of Defense Staff, service chiefs, Defense Secretary and DG (Acquisition) to work towards increasing the minimum indigenous goods limit in consultation with Indian industry.
