When the wife did not cook the food, the husband killed her with an ax. The incident is of village Sandia of Pipariya located in Narmadapuram district of Madhya Pradesh. On Friday night, there was a dispute between husband and wife regarding cooking. After some time the dispute escalated, when the husband angrily attacked the wife with an ax. The police has arrested the accused from the village itself.

Police investigation has revealed that the husband had come under the influence of alcohol and the wife used to have frequent disputes regarding this matter. On Friday night, the controversy over this matter escalated and the accused carried out the murder. 26-year-old Pawan Katiya of Sandia often reached home after drinking alcohol and had a dispute with his wife Varsha, 24 years old. On Friday, when he reached home after drinking alcohol, he asked Varsha to cook food. Varsha flatly denied to Pawan that I would not cook food. On this, Pawan started fighting with Varsha. When Varsha resisted, Pawan attacked him with an ax kept nearby and his neck swung. After the murder, Pawan ran away by throwing the ax there.

Pawan's mother was also present at the time of the dispute. She was also troubled by the day-to-day quarrels and decided not to get into between the two. When Pawan killed Varsha and fled, it was Pawan's mother who reached the Sandia police post and informed the police about the incident.

Character doubts can also be the reason

Sandia police arrested the accused late on Friday night from the village itself. The accused also tried to mislead the police, but due to strictness, he broke down and confessed to the crime. The police feel that character suspicion could also be a reason for the murder.
