Rajasthan News / Dotasra Accuses Rajasthan BJP of Factionalism, Corruption, and False Cases

PCC Chief Govind Singh Dotasra has strongly criticized the Rajasthan BJP, alleging that four distinct factions are actively involved in corruption. He accused the party of orchestrating false cases against Congress candidate Pramod Jain Bhaya while highlighting BJP State President Madan Rathore's 24 registered cases. Dotasra also slammed the BJP for fielding a candidate with a criminal background in the 2023 election

PCC Chief Levels Serious Allegations Against BJP

Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) Chief Govind Singh Dotasra has launched a scathing attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Rajasthan, accusing its leadership of widespread corruption and internal factionalism. Speaking from the Kota Circuit House, where he addressed various issues including the upcoming Anta by-election, Dotasra claimed that the state, once independent, has now been reduced to a "Union Territory" governed by a "Parchi Sarkar" (slip government) influenced by individuals from Gujarat. He asserted that these external influences aren't only dictating state affairs but are also securing lucrative contracts, leading to an environment where no work is done without corruption. This strong condemnation from the Congress leader underscores the escalating political rhetoric ahead of crucial electoral contests and highlights the growing tensions within the state's political landscape.

BJP Plagued by Factionalism, Alleges Dotasra

Dotasra further elaborated on his accusations by stating that the BJP in Rajasthan is fragmented into multiple, distinct groups, each operating independently, while he specifically named four prominent factions: one led by former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, another by current Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, a third by senior leader Kirodi Lal Meena, and a separate group associated with Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla. According to Dotasra, these factions aren't working for the welfare of Rajasthan but are instead collectively engaged in "looting" the state's resources. He lamented that none of these groups, nor the central government, are providing any substantial packages or support for the development and well-being of the people of Rajasthan, painting a grim picture of the state's political landscape under BJP rule. He emphasized that the lack of cohesive leadership is detrimental to the state's progress.

False Cases Against Congress Candidate Pramod Jain Bhaya

A significant part of Dotasra's criticism focused on what he described as politically motivated legal actions against Congress leaders. He specifically highlighted the case of Congress candidate Pramod Jain Bhaya from Anta, stating that there was no initial "istegasa" (complaint) under sections 107/116 against him. Dotasra alleged that Kanwarlal Meena, the BJP candidate, deliberately orchestrated false cases against Bhaya over a period of seven to eight months with the sole intention of damaging his public image. In a sharp retort, Dotasra contrasted this with the legal record of BJP State President Madan Rathore, pointing out that Rathore himself has 24 registered cases against him, questioning the BJP's moral standing to accuse others. He challenged the BJP to address its own internal issues before making allegations against Congress leaders.

BJP's Candidate with Criminal Background and Public Deception

The PCC Chief didn't hold back in criticizing the BJP for its choice of candidates in past elections. He reminded the public that in the 2023 assembly elections, the BJP had fielded a candidate with a criminal background, while dotasra stated that the Congress had warned the public at that time about the criminal antecedents of BJP candidate Kanwarlal Meena. Despite these warnings, the public, allegedly misled, voted for the BJP candidate, leading to his victory. However, Dotasra noted that Meena subsequently received a conviction and, failing to get relief from the Supreme Court, lost his MLA position within two years, thereby betraying the public's trust and necessitating a by-election. This, he argued, was a clear example of the BJP's disregard for ethical political practices.

Congress's Commitment to Public Welfare and Development

In stark contrast to his criticism of the BJP, Dotasra lauded the Congress party's commitment to public welfare and development. He emphasized that Congress candidate Pramod Jain Bhaya enjoys immense popularity among the masses and has a proven track record of social service and local development, including facilitating thousands of marriages, while dotasra also highlighted the "historic work" undertaken by the previous Congress government in Rajasthan. He cited flagship schemes such as the Chief Minister Chiranjeevi Health Insurance Scheme, Rajasthan Government Health Scheme (RGHS), increased pensions for the elderly, provision of essential packets for the poor, establishment of English medium schools, and significant improvements in electricity, water, and road infrastructure. These initiatives, he argued, set a benchmark for good governance and demonstrated the Congress's dedication to its citizens. Dotasra continued his attack on the current BJP government, labeling it a "Parchi Sarkar" – a government formed through external influence rather than popular mandate. He expressed concern that under this administration, welfare schemes designed for the poor are "dying out. " According to Dotasra, the BJP government has failed to introduce any new schemes or initiatives, instead relying solely on what he termed "false propaganda" about central government programs. He reiterated that the Congress, through leaders like Pramod Jain Bhaya, has consistently focused on social responsibility and inclusive development, contrasting this with the BJP's perceived lack of original contributions and reliance on baseless accusations. He stressed that the current government lacks vision and direction for the state's progress.

Election-Time Corruption Allegations: Politically Motivated

Addressing the timing of the BJP's corruption allegations against the previous Congress government, Dotasra dismissed them as purely "politically motivated. " He questioned why, if there were genuine issues, no investigations were conducted during the period when there was a "double engine" government (BJP at both state and center). Dotasra asserted that the public is astute enough to understand these political ploys and will respond appropriately in the upcoming elections by voting for the Congress. He also touched upon economic issues, stating that those who speak of GST relief are the very ones responsible for increasing. Inflation, indicating that the public is well aware of these discrepancies and will hold the government accountable at the ballot box. He expressed confidence that the public will choose Congress this time.
