SBI was very reluctant earlier

In the month of February itself, the Supreme Court had declared electoral bonds unconstitutional and asked SBI to share all the information by March 6. Expressing its inability to release the data, SBI had sought time till June 30, which was rejected by the Supreme Court on March 11 and asked to release the data by March 12.

After this, SBI released the data of bonds without revealing the unique alpha numeric code of the bond. The Supreme Court heard this again on March 18 and SBI was instructed to release the complete data under any circumstances by 5 pm on March 21.
