Madhya Pradesh government minister Pradyuman Singh has given a controversial statement regarding the rising prices of petrol and diesel. State Energy Minister Pradyuman Singh said that do we ever go to the vegetable market by bicycle? This will keep us healthy and pollution will also end. It is true that the prices are high, but the money received from it is used for the interests of the poor people. Talking to the media, Pradyuman Singh said, 'After all, who uses petrol and diesel? If we go to the vegetable market do we cycle? Is petrol and diesel necessary for us or health? I have not done this for the common citizens alone. I did it for myself too. If you pick up my diary for 30 days, you will know how many days I walk by car and how many days I walk on cycle.

Pradyuman Singh, Energy Minister of Shivraj Singh Chouhan government said, 'I agree that there is inflation, but a little money for petrol and diesel is going to a leader's house. That money is roaming around and going only to the poor of the country. It is being given to those people who could not work during the Corona period. They are being given free ration facility till Diwali. When asked by the media whether he would advise his cabinet colleagues to ride a bicycle, he said, "I am doing my thing." I don't want to comment on other people.

Controversy may erupt over this remark of the minister of Shivraj Singh Chouhan government. Let us inform that recently, Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan had said that this situation has arisen due to the increase in international prices. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has also targeted the government many times over the increase in the prices of petrol and diesel. He says that the amount received from the additional tax on petrol and diesel should be distributed to the poor section in the form of cash.
