Hathras case / Family members protest, police guard, last rites of victim in midnight

UP: The body of the Hathras gang-rape victim reached the village late at night, the villagers protested heavily but despite this the last rites were performed. However, when the dead body reached the village at midnight, the villagers were not ready for the funeral. But the police cremated the victim despite heavy opposition. In view of the anger of the people, a large number of police personnel have been deployed in the area.

At the same time, the family refused to perform the funeral in a hurry. They said they want justice. The police also engaged in convincing the family.

The body of the gangrape victim arrived at 12:45 in the night. When the ambulance was being taken for the funeral, people stopped it. The ambulance stopped at 2:35 pm near the victim's village. At 2:45 pm, after repeated unsuccessful attempts, police sent an ambulance to the funeral. The victim was then cremated.
