About two dozen villages in Sahebganj and Diara areas of Paru have been engulfed by flood waters. The flood waters have entered about 600 houses in both the blocks. At the same time, many villages of Saraiya are partially in the grip of floods. On the other hand, Bagmati and Budhi Gandak are also witnessing rapid water growth. The water of Bagmati is increasing rapidly in Aurai, Katra and Gaighat. Due to the increase in Budhi Gandak, there is an atmosphere of panic in Motipur, Kanti, Meenapur, Musahari and urban areas. The DM has visited the areas affected by Gandak and directed to intensify the relief and rescue work. At the same time, flood water entered the Sugauli police station office on Friday. Soon the police station was shifted to the school.

Water is flowing on Sangrampur-Hajipur main road, lost contact

In East Champaran district, many blocks are affected by floods as the water level of Gandak and Budhi Gandak rivers continue to rise. Due to the rise in the water level of the Gandak river, the flood water on the Sangrampur-Hajipur main road has increased. The flow of water is fast for about one kilometer from Izra Mori village. Traffic has been disrupted due to the rise of Bagmati river water on Sirauli diversion of Tetaria block. Three feet of flood water entered the road leading to Bishunpurva village of Sugauli. Flood waters have entered many villages on the banks of the Dumaria Ghat Ring Dam. Many villages of Areraj and Banjariya are affected by the floods.

Six blocks cut off contact with district headquarters

The orgy of the Sikarhana river continues in West Champaran district. On Friday, the water of this river entered two dozen new villages, while six blocks were cut off from the district headquarters. These blocks include Lauria, Ramnagar, Narkatiaganj, Sikta, Mainatand and Gaunaha. Flood water is flowing for two days on Bettiah-Narkatiyaganj, Bettiah-Sikta road. About four feet of water is flowing on the Lauria-Ramnagar and Lauria Narkatiaganj roads.

The water level of the rivers in Madhubani is normal. The water level in Dhaus and Bachhraja rivers passing through Benipatti is receding. Kamala river is flowing below the danger mark in Jayanagar. 15 cm water has decreased in 24 hours. At the same time, the water level of the Bagmati and Adhwara group of rivers passing through Sitamarhi continues to fluctuate. On Friday morning, the water level of the Bagmati river was rising at Chandauli Ghat while it was gradually decreasing in Kataujha, Dheng, Sonakhan and Duba Ghat. The water level of Adhwara group of rivers is stable in Sonbarsa, Sunderpur, Pupri and Goabri. The Bagmati river and the river of Adhwara group are below the danger mark everywhere. The water level of Ganga and Budhi Gandak continues to rise in Samastipur. The water level of Budhi Gandak rose by 1.11 meters on Friday. The water level of Budhi Gandak stood at 40.70 on Thursday while it was found to be 41.81 meters on Friday. The danger mark in Samastipur is 45.73 meters. Similarly, the water level of Ganga at the Sarari site of Mohanpur is 42.15 meters. The tendency is for the water level to rise. The danger mark at this site is 45.50 meters.
