Former IAS officer Shah Faesal has become disillusioned with politics. Faisal, who was the first UPSC topper from Jammu and Kashmir, has indicated to return to civil services.

In many tweets, Faisal has spoken about the decision to leave the government job in 2019 and jump into politics. In the tweets made on Wednesday, Faesal has also mentioned his idealistic things, due to which he came into politics.

Formed his own political party

Faesal had topped the UPSC exam in 2009. He had quit his government job in January 2019 and entered politics over alleged 'intolerance' in the country. In March 2019, he formed his own party 'Jammu Kashmir People's Movement'. Faesal had also expressed his intention to contest the assembly elections to be held in his home state at that time.

Faisal wrote this in a tweet

Former IAS officer Shah Faesal wrote in his tweet, 'Eight months of my life (Jan 2019-August 2019) produced so much garbage that I was almost exhausted. Chasing a fantasy, I lost almost everything that I had built up over the years. I lost work, friends, reputation and goodwill all, but I never lost hope. My idealism let me down, but I believe in myself that I will correct the mistakes I have made. I will get one more chance in life. A part of the memories of those eight months have been erased and I want to erase that legacy completely. A lot of it is already gone. Time will wipe away the remaining things too. ,

Will there be an advisor to the Lieutenant Governor?

Although in his tweet, Faisal has not yet disclosed what he is going to do next and which and where he is going to get the opportunity, but there has been speculation about him for the past one year. It is believed that he will either be reinstated in the IAS service or he will be made an advisor to the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir.

Arrest was given for abolishing 370, now changed attitude

Faesal had also given arrest in protest against the abolition of special status of Jammu and Kashmir and abrogation of Article 370, but his attitude has changed in the last few months. Now they are seen supporting the policies of the central government. He was also seen sharing the speech and tweet of PM Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah on social media.
