7th Pay Commission: The decision was taken by the Modi cabinet in the last week of September to increase the dearness allowance of the central employees. This increase in dearness allowance has come into effect from July 1. The arrears of the employees from July to September will be given by the government. For this time many state governments have announced to increase the dearness allowance of the employees. The Central Government had also increased Dearness Relief (DR) for pensioners. Dearness Allowance hike in Uttar Pradesh

The Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh has given effect to the DA and dearness relief of employees and pensioners on 18 October 2022. The government has increased both the allowances from 34% to 38%. This increase has been considered effective from July 1. Apart from this, the state government had also announced Diwali bonus for the employees.

DA Hike in Punjab

The Bhagwant Mann government of Punjab has given a big gift to the employees this Diwali. On October 21, the Punjab government has decided to restore the old pension scheme for the employees. CM Bhagwant Mann has described it as a Diwali gift for the employees of the state. In another decision, the cabinet has decided to give 6 percent more DA to employees and pensioners from October 1 this year.

DA Hike in Bihar

The Bihar government has announced to increase the DA of the state government employees. The hike implemented here will be effective from July 1. The government has given a gift to the employees by increasing the DA by 4 percent. Apart from this, the arrears from July till now will also be given to the employees.

So much dearness allowance in Jharkhand

The Jharkhand cabinet has decided to increase Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief on October 10. Here also the proposal to increase DA by 4 percent has been approved from July 1. This has benefited about 2 lakh government employees and 1.35 lakh pensioners here. The Council of Ministers has approved a proposal to increase the Dearness Allowance payable to employees from the existing 34 percent to 38 percent with effect from July 1, 2022.

Chhattisgarh DA Hike

On October 14, CM Bhupesh Baghel increased the DA by 5 per cent to 33 per cent. About 3.80 lakh employees of the state government will benefit from this increase. The hike will be effective from 1 October 2022.

Haryana DA Hike

Before Diwali, the Haryana government increased the DA to its employees by 4 percent to 38 percent as per the 7th Pay Commission. The Finance Department of the Haryana government said in a release on October 18 that the increased DA would be given to the employees along with the salary of October 2022. The arrears for the July-September period will be paid in November.
