According to Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary, the names of Utpal Kumar Singh, Pradeep Kumar Tripathi, Gyanesh Kumar, Indivir Pandey, Sukhbir Singh, Gangadhar Rahat were discussed in this meeting. He alleged that I had already asked for a shortlist. Meaning a short list should be handed over to us. There were 212 names in the list that was given to me. Our committee includes PM Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Law Minister Arjunram Meghwal. That means the government has majority. That means the election commissioner will be selected according to the government. On the appointment of Goyal Saheb, the Supreme Court had said that he left at the same speed with which his appointment was made.
