Actress Hansika Motwani and her husband, businessman Soheil Khaturiya, have officially ended their marriage. The Bandra Family Court in Mumbai granted a decree of divorce by mutual consent, concluding a legal process that began after the couple faced irreconcilable differences, while the duo, who wed in a high-profile ceremony in December 2022, had been living separately for several months before approaching the court for a legal separation. The court finalized the decree after ensuring all legal requirements for a mutual consent divorce were met.

The divorce petition was filed at the Bandra Family Court, where both Hansika and Soheil appeared through their legal representatives. Advocate Adnan Sheikh, representing the actress, informed the court that the couple had reached an amicable settlement regarding their separation. The court observed that the mandatory cooling-off period and counseling sessions didn't lead to a reconciliation. Consequently, the judge passed the final order dissolving the marriage, noting that both parties had agreed to the terms of the separation without any coercion.

Grounds for Separation and Incompatibility

According to the details presented during the court proceedings, the couple cited significant differences in their temperaments and lifestyles as the primary reasons for the split, while the petition stated that shortly after their marriage, frequent disagreements arose over various personal and professional matters. Despite attempts by family members and close friends to mediate and save the relationship, the differences remained unresolved. The couple eventually decided that living together was no longer viable and began residing separately from 2 July 2024.

Settlement Regarding Alimony and Streedhan

A significant aspect of the divorce settlement was the decision regarding financial claims. Hansika Motwani chose not to claim any alimony or maintenance from Soheil Khaturiya. On top of that, she didn't raise any claims regarding 'Streedhan' or other marital assets. Both parties informed the court that they had settled all financial matters independently and wouldn't pursue any future monetary claims against each other.
