Varanasi. The hearing in the Varanasi district court on the famous Gyanvapi case of Uttar Pradesh has been postponed. The court will now hear the matter on May 26. The District Judge's court will first hear the maintainability of this case. Order 7 Rule 11 will be heard first in the court.

In this case, public prosecutor Rana Sanjeev Singh told that the court has fixed May 26 for hearing on the maintainability of the case as per the order of the Supreme Court. He told that whether it is worth prosecuting or not, the court will hear it on May 26.

In fact, it was argued on behalf of the Muslim side that because of the 1991 Places of Worship Act, the suit of the Hindu side should be dismissed. In such a situation, the court will now first hear the maintainability of this case.

Addressing reporters outside the district court, Hindu side's lawyer Vishnu Jain said, "The court will hear on May 26 the appeal of the Muslim side to dismiss the case under Order 7 Rule 11 of the CPC." The court has asked both the parties to file their objections on the report of the inquiry commission within a week.

In fact, the Supreme Court has ordered that the district judge's court should first hear the order 7 rule 11. The Supreme Court had last Friday directed to transfer the Gyanvapi Shringar Gauri Complex case from the court of Varanasi Civil Judge Senior Division to the Court of District Judge. The Supreme Court had said that considering the sensitivity and complexity of the case, it is better that an experienced judicial officer should hear the matter.

On this, the lawyer of Anjuman Intejamiya Masjid Committee, Mohammad Tauheed Khan said that the Muslim side has filed a petition in the court saying that it is not worth prosecuting, so it should be dismissed. On the other hand, Mahant of Kashi Vishwanath temple, Dr. VC Tiwari has filed a petition in the court for regular worship of the alleged Shivling found in Gyanvapi premises.

Earlier, Varanasi Civil Judge Senior Division Ravi Kumar Diwakar had ordered a videography survey of the Gyanvapi campus on the plea of Rakhi Singh and others. The survey was completed on May 16, after which its report was submitted to the court.

The Hindu side had allegedly claimed to have found a Shivling inside the Wuzu Khana of the Gyanvapi Masjid. On the other hand, the Muslim side was telling it the old fountain located in Vajukhana.
