Four people of the same family were killed in a road accident near Gurdwara Baba Dandia Wala, Fatehabad in Tarn Taran. According to the information, five people were on the bike and were going from Kapurthala to Fatehabad. Suddenly a speeding truck coming from the front got hit. Two innocent children and their parents died on the spot in the accident.
Those who lost their lives have been identified as Kuldeep Singh (driver), Kamala Rani (wife), Armaan (7), Shagun (9), residents of Barinderpur village in Kapurthala. The injured woman Rajbir Kaur is a resident of Nim Wali Ghati (Goindwal Sahib) with him. The accident was so severe that the motorcycle jumped several feet and blew away. The four members fell on their heads on the road and died on the spot. Rajbir Kaur fell on the footpath. His condition is also serious.
The motorcycle got blown up in the accidentKuldeep Singh, along with his wife Kamala Rani and their two sons Shagun (9) and Armaan (7) and relative Rajbir Kaur, left Kapurthala on a motorcycle at around 11 am on Thursday. These people had to go to the town of Fatehabad. The speeding motorcycle collided with a truck coming from the front near Gurdwara Baba Dandiawala, Khawaspura in Thana Goindwal Sahib. The truck was going from Fatehabad to Khadoor Sahib. The motorcycle got blown up in the accident.
Truck driver did not run after the accidentOn coming to know about the accident, DSP Goindwal Sahib Preetinder Singh, station in-charge Shivdarshan Singh, outpost Fatehabad in-charge Baldev Raj reached the spot and took the four dead bodies into custody. Police station in-charge Shivdarshan Singh said that the driver of the accident had stopped the truck and he did not run away from the spot. The police have taken into custody the truck driver Anurag Singh, son of Anchal Singh Rajput, resident of Kuprola, Barnosi, Thana Noorpur, District Kangra (Himachal Pradesh).
