Another unique case related to humanity has come up in Pattambi in Palakkad. The Hindu woman doctor read the Islamic prayer for the last patient counting Muslim patients in a private hospital here. This work of the doctor is being highly appreciated.

Hindu doctor narrates Kalma to Muslim woman

This Muslim woman suffering from Covid pneumonia was on ventilator for 2 weeks and her relatives were not allowed to go to the ICU. Dr. Rekha Krishna, working at the Sevana Hospital and Research Center, told the Indian Express, "On May 17, he was ejected from the ventilator after his condition deteriorated." Relatives were informed about this. As soon as I reached them, it seemed that they were finding it difficult to leave the world. I slowly read Kalma in his ears. Then I saw her taking some deep breaths and then she became immobile. '

Doctor was familiar with Muslim customs

Dr. Krishna further said, 'I had not thought of doing anything like this. It happened suddenly. I was born and raised in Dubai. So I knew the customs and practices of Muslims, so I was able to do so. I have never been discriminated against in Gulf due to my separate religion. I have just returned the same honor. '

Human works not religious

Dr. Krishna feels that this was not a religious act but a human act. A major problem with Kovid-19 patients is that they feel lonely and isolated. In such a situation, we should make every effort to help the patients. The doctor had told this incident to a fellow doctor, which he shared on social media. Since this post, Dr. Krishna has been receiving much appreciation.
