Danny started his film career in 1971 with Gulzar's first directorial film Mere Apne. In this film, he played a small but impressive role. After this, he worked in many memorable films like Milaap, Dhund, Chor Machaye Shor, 36 Ghante, Laila Majnu, Kalicharan, Devta, Bandish, Andha Kanoon, Bhagwan Dada, Allah Rakha, Khuda Gawah, Agneepath, Jaljala, Pukar, Luck, Baby, and Boss.
