11 or 12 when is Raksha Bandhan

According to the Panchang, the full moon date of Sawan month is starting from 10.38 am on August 11, which will remain till 7.05 am on August 12. Due to the full moon date being both the days, people are in a state of confusion whether Raksha Bandhan should be celebrated on 11th August or 12th August. In this regard, astrologers say that due to the shadow of Bhadra on 11th August, tying Rakhi on 12th August will be auspicious.

Auspicious time for tying Rakhi on 11th and 12th August

According to the Panchang, on August 11, Bhadra Kaal is from morning till 8.51 pm. According to Hindu beliefs, auspicious works like Raksha Bandhan are not done after sunset. In such a situation, on this day sisters can neither tie Rakhi to brother in Bhadrakal nor at night, so some astrologers and ritualistic pundits consider it auspicious to tie Rakhi on 12th August. However, this day is full moon date only till 7.05 am, so it will be auspicious to tie or tie rakhi before 07:05 in the morning.
