North India Weather: The people of North India suffering from cold are not expected to get relief in the coming days. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of mercury falling in many areas of Uttar Pradesh. It can remain minimum -4 degree Celsius and maximum 2 degree Celsius. This information has come to the fore by quoting the news agency ANI.

However, the fog conditions have improved in North India in the last few days. But due to the strong winds due to the Western Disturbance, according to the weather expert, this respite will not last long and the fog will return soon. The meteorologist said that between January 14 and 19, icy, severe cold will be experienced and it is likely to be at its peak from January 16 to 18.

The meteorologist tweeted that a cold wave will prevail in the northern plains in a week. The upcoming phase of Sheetlahar in India will actually peak during January 14-19, 2023. The temperature in the plains can range from -4°c to +2°c. Meanwhile, there is a possibility of light rain or drizzle in Delhi today (Thursday). The Regional Weather Forecasting Center (RWFC) in New Delhi has predicted a cloudy sky with very light rain or drizzle on Thursday, January 12.

Safdarjung recorded a minimum temperature of 9.3 degrees Celsius while Palam recorded a minimum temperature of 9.6 degrees Celsius till 8.30 am on Thursday. Meanwhile, foggy conditions prevailed in the national capital. Jammu and Kashmir, which is covered with snow, will also not get any respite from the cold. The mercury has been predicted to drop to a minimum of -6 degree Celsius. Punjab, Haryana, New Delhi, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and North Madhya Pradesh will be in the grip of severe cold wave during the week. The minimum temperature here will be between 0 to 4 degree Celsius.

How will be the weather in Rajasthan?

According to the Meteorological Department, the northwestern and northern parts of Rajasthan will be cloudy on January 12-13. However, the conditions are not favorable for widespread rain or snow during this period. According to the department, from January 14, due to the effect of northern winds once again in most parts of the state, due to a big drop in the minimum temperature by 3-5 degree Celsius, a new phase of cold wave will start from Bikaner division, while from January 15, cold wave will start. Due to the increase in the intensity of the cold wave, there is a strong possibility of registering severe cold wave in most parts of Bikaner, Jaipur, Ajmer and Bharatpur divisions.

In the last 24 hours, the minimum temperature in the state was recorded at 8.8 degree Celsius in Alwar, 9.1 degree in Bikaner and 9.2 degree Celsius in Sangaria. In most of the remaining places, it was recorded above 10 degree Celsius.
