UNGA Meeting / India's dominance at UNGA, Trinidad and Tobago's PM said- 'Modi is making a big contribution across the world'

Trinidad and Tobago Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar praised PM Narendra Modi for elevating the voice of the Global South and promoting South-South cooperation. Bhutan's Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay also praised Modi's leadership and supported India's bid for permanent membership.

Many prominent world leaders have praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi's global contributions on the international stage. PM Modi is being praised for elevating the voice of the Global South to new heights under India's leadership and promoting South-South cooperation.

Trinidad and Tobago's Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar Praises

In her address, Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago said, "We congratulate Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He has made significant contributions not only to the people of India, but to people around the world." She particularly praised PM Modi for promoting South-South cooperation. "Until now, developed countries (the North) have dominated the global stage, but PM Modi has given a new direction to South-South cooperation," she said.

He also mentioned that when PM Modi visited Trinidad and Tobago, he visited southern countries like Brazil and Ghana and engaged the diaspora in large-scale events. This initiative has been instrumental in promoting unity and cooperation among southern countries.

Bhutan's PM also praised PM Modi

Bhutan's Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay also praised PM Modi's charismatic leadership. He not only praised India's global contributions but also described India as a leading contender for permanent membership in the United Nations Security Council. Tshering Tobgay declared Bhutan's full support for India's permanent membership. He said, "India's leadership and its global vision make it most deserving for a permanent seat in the UNSC."

India has emerged as the voice of the Global South

PM Modi has strongly raised the voice of the countries of the Global South on the global stage. By promoting South-South cooperation, he has given a new dimension to mutual cooperation and partnership among developing countries. This initiative of India is not only accelerating economic and social development but is also encouraging an inclusive approach in global governance.
