India China Relation: India's External Affairs Ministry has issued a strong reply to China on the issue of Arunachal. India has made it clear to the neighboring country that no matter how much China repeats its baseless claims, it will not change India's stand that Arunachal Pradesh was, is and will always be its integral and inseparable part. External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said this in response to a question about China continuing its claim on Arunachal Pradesh.

Strong message to China

External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Jaiswal said in clear words on Thursday that our stand on the issue of Arunachal Pradesh has been made very clear many times. Recently we have also issued a statement in this regard. No matter how much China repeats its 'baseless claims', it is not going to change our stand. Arunachal Pradesh was, is and will always be an integral and inseparable part of India.

S Jaishankar also gave a statement

India's Foreign Minister S Jaishankar had rejected China's repeated claims on Arunachal Pradesh as 'absurd'. Jaishankar had said that this border state is a “natural part of India”. In his public comment on China's frequent claims on Arunachal and China's opposition to the visits of Indian leaders to the state, Jaishankar said that this is not a new issue.

China had expressed objection

China's Foreign Ministry had raised objection to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Arunachal Pradesh. On this, India had said that repeating baseless arguments in this regard does not provide any validity to such a claim. Arunachal Pradesh was, is, and will always be an integral part of India. Its people will continue to benefit from our development programs and infrastructure projects.
