West Bengal Board Exams / Internet services closed in these districts of West Bengal from tomorrow, citing ban on illegal activities

The West Bengal government has announced the shutdown of internet and broadband services in various districts of the state. Internet and broadband services will remain suspended in several blocks of Malda, Murshidabad, Uttar Dinajpur, Cooch Behar, Jalpaiguri, Birbhum and Darjeeling, according to the information released by the state home department. These services will remain closed from 11 am to 3.15 pm on March 7-9, 11-12 and 14-16. The reason for this has been told to stop any kind of illegal activities during the tenth examination on these dates.

Notice issued

In the notice issued by the government, it has been said that such information has been received that internet service can be used for illegal activities in some areas. Internet and broadband services will remain suspended in some places to prevent any such activity. At the same time, there is no restriction on voice calls, SMS and newspapers.

10th board exams will start from tomorrow

In West Bengal, the Class X board examination, commonly known as the Madhyamik examination, is going to be conducted from March 7 to 16, 2022. According to estimates, 6,21,931 girl students and 4,96,890 students are taking part in the 10th board exams this time. For the examination, 4,194 examination centers have been earmarked across the state. Last year, the examinations were canceled in the state due to the Corona epidemic.

More number of girl students

In West Bengal, this year also the number of girl students is more than boys in the class X board examination. Last year, 5,53,573 girl students and 4,43,304 students had appeared in the class 10th examination.

Isolation rooms at all centers

Keeping in mind the precaution against corona infection, this time the government has made arrangements for isolation rooms at all the examination centers. If any student or student has fever or any other problem, it will be convenient for them.
