Apple WWDC 2024: During the Apple Annual Worldwide Developer Conference i.e. WWDC 2024 event, many new features have been unveiled for the users. iOS 18 Features

In iOS 18, users will now get improved privacy features such as the facility to control the data being shared with apps. Apart from this, users will be able to share some contacts instead of giving access to their entire contact list.

Apart from this, users will also be able to lock some apps from the home screen of their iPhone, so that no unknown person will be able to open these apps without biometric authentication or without the passcode of your device.

Siri has also been upgraded with iOS 18, users will see a new app icon with a new interface. This virtual assistant of Apple will now give users the facility of Type to Siri along with voice commands. Apart from this, Siri is also going to get an on-screen awareness feature powered by Apple Intelligence. Apple Intelligence will be available in beta form in English (US) for iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max.

With iOS 18, the Messages app will also get support for new features including text formatting, RCS messaging and using emojis in tapback responses. According to Apple, support for third party controls will also be available in iOS 18 Control Center.

Users using iPhone 14 and above models in supported regions will benefit from satellite connectivity to send text and emojis through the Messages app. Other customization options coming in iOS 18 include the option to select and remove custom lock screen shortcuts.

VisionOS 2

Apple has rolled out a new operating system for the Vision Pro mixed reality headset. visionOS 2 will be available as a free software update and includes spatial computing features such as converting photos into 3D memory, home view and using hand gestures to view important information. Apart from this, Mac Virtual Display has also been added with the new OS, as well as upgrades to Travel Mode.

tvOS 18

A new operating system has also been introduced for the Apple TV set-top box and many new features including InSight have also been included with the new OS.
