Jaipur Women Safety Campaign: BJP Promotes RajCop Citizen App for Security

BJP Mahila Morcha organized the 'Surakshit Nari, Sashakt Nari' campaign in Jaipur to mark International Women's Day. The initiative focused on installing the 'RajCop Citizen App' on women's phones, enabling police assistance within 10 minutes during emergencies, alongside providing information on legal rights and government schemes.

In observance of International Women's Day, the BJP Mahila Morcha organized the 'Surakshit Nari, Sashakt Nari, Nari Samman' campaign in the Vidhyadhar Nagar area of Jaipur, while the event was designed to raise awareness among women regarding their safety, legal rights, and various welfare schemes launched by the central and state governments. A significant highlight of the program was the on-spot installation of the 'RajCop Citizen App' on the mobile phones of participating women, conducted in collaboration with the Rajasthan Police. This initiative aimed to equip women with technological tools for immediate intervention during distress situations.

Functionality of the RajCop Citizen App

Rakhi Rathore, the State President of BJP Mahila Morcha, detailed the technical advantages of the RajCop Citizen App during the session, while according to officials, the application serves as a direct link between citizens and the police department. By pressing a dedicated emergency button within the app, the user's real-time GPS location is instantly transmitted to the Police Control Room. Rathore emphasized that this system ensures that police assistance reaches the distressed individual within approximately 10 minutes. The live demonstration and installation drive were intended to provide women with a sense of security and immediate access to law enforcement.

Legal Awareness and Rights Education

The event featured Dr. Nishtha Jaiswal, Vice-Chancellor of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Law University, as the keynote speaker. She addressed the gathering on the importance of legal literacy among women. Dr. Jaiswal noted that while there are numerous legal protections available, a lack of awareness often prevents women from seeking justice. The session covered fundamental rights, protection against domestic violence, and legal provisions concerning safety at workplaces. Jaipur MP Manju Sharma also highlighted that educating women about these legal nuances is essential for their overall empowerment and confidence in the judicial system.

Government Schemes for Economic Empowerment

Beyond physical safety, the campaign focused on the economic independence of women. Rakhi Rathore shared information regarding the 'Lakhpati Didi' scheme, which aims to provide skill training to women to enhance their annual income. Also, participants were briefed on the Mudra Yojana and other financial inclusion programs that offer credit facilities for women entrepreneurs. The speakers noted that the government's objective is to ensure that the benefits of these schemes reach the grassroots level, enabling women to become self-reliant and contribute to the economy.

Collaborative Efforts for Women Empowerment

Jaipur MP Manju Sharma stated that the collaboration between the political leadership and the Rajasthan Police is a strategic move to create a safer environment for women and girls. She mentioned that the 'Surakshit Nari, Sashakt Nari' campaign is part of a broader vision to integrate safety with social and economic growth. The organizers announced that similar awareness drives would be conducted across different wards to maximize the reach of the RajCop Citizen App. The event concluded with a commitment to continue these educational sessions to ensure every woman is aware of the resources available for her protection and advancement.
