New Delhi : Controversy continues over Vivek Agnihotri's film The Kashmir Files even after more than two weeks of its release. Maulana of Jammu and Kashmir has demanded a ban on the film. Addressing the public at Jamia Masjid in Rajouri, Jammu and Kashmir, Maulana Farooq said that the pain and suffering of Muslims were ignored in the film. He alleged that this film has been made with the intention of infusing hatred among the people against Muslims and weakening the Muslims.

Muslims ruled for 800 years

Maulana Farooq said that we condemn the creators of The Kashmir Files. Do they not see our pain? Why was the film focused solely on Kashmiri Pandits? Giving a provocative speech in the mosque, Maulana Farooq said- We ruled this country for 800 years. Hindus have been running the country for only 70 years. You cannot separate us from our identity.

Thousands of Muslims killed since Pandits left

Maulana further said- Thousands of Muslims were killed in the valley but it was not shown in the film. After 32 years, he is seeing the blood of Kashmiri Pandits. But how many Muslims were killed in these 32 years. How many women became widows, how many houses were destroyed, do they not see the blood of Muslims? Terming the film as a conspiracy against Muslims, Maulana said that an attempt is being made to build a wall of hatred towards Muslims through the film.

Maulana further said that those who want to do politics by fighting Hindus and Muslims should be ashamed. There is also a lot of politics going on about the film The Kashmir Files, keeping the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits in the center. Many BJP ruled states have made the film tax free.
