For the Punjab Assembly elections, the seat-sharing has been announced among BJP, Punjab Lok Congress and Samyukta Akali Dal-Dhindsa. BJP National President JP Nadda has announced that in Punjab, BJP will contest 65 seats and Punjab Lok Congress will contest the assembly elections on 37 seats. Announcing on Monday, JP Nadda has said that BJP, Punjab Lok Congress and Samyukta Akali Dal-Dhindsa, all of us are fighting the Punjab Assembly elections together in what has happened in the NDA alliance in Punjab. BJP will contest on 65 seats, Punjab Lok Congress on 37 seats and Samyukta Akali Dal-Dhindsa on 15 seats.

During this, while addressing the press conference, JP Nadda said that Punjab is a state located on the border, it is necessary to form a stable and strong government in Punjab for the security of the country. We know how Pakistan's actions have been for our country. We have seen that there are attempts to smuggle drugs and weapons.

JP Nadda said, “The country is progressing at a very fast pace under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji. The ill-fated attempt to derail it is done by anti-national forces. In this derail, there should be activity through Punjab, it is always the intention of the anti-national forces.

'NDA moving forward with a commitment to eliminate the mafia raj'

JP Nadda said, “This election is not only a means of change of power, changing the government is not the purpose of this election. This election is to secure the coming generations and to give stability to Punjab. If Punjab remains safe, the country remains safe."

He further said, “The people of Punjab have made their supreme sacrifice for the security of the country, the food security that Punjab has given to the country, the country can never forget it. Punjab has always fulfilled our hopes." JP Nadda said during the press conference, “Mafiaraj has done the work of hollowing Punjab. Today all are hollowing Punjab out of land mafia, sand mafia, drug mafia. That's why the NDA alliance is moving ahead with a commitment that we will end this mafia raj."

He said, “Punjab needs special attention today. Where Punjab was moving towards development earlier, today it is slipping down. It is also our responsibility to make Punjab economically strong. Center-state relations are very important for stability and security, we should also remember this. Let us tell you, the voting for the Punjab Assembly elections will be held in a single phase on February 20. Counting of votes will take place on March 10.
